about

The thrashers from Belo Horizonte (MG), Payback, have released "Violent Ecstasy," the band's second studio album, a successor to "Padecer" from 2020, also released by Black Hole Productions.
It is already considered by many experts in the field as one of the best releases of 2023 within the Brazilian Thrash Metal scene.

According to bassist and vocalist Daniel Tulher, "the cover of 'Violent Ecstasy' - as the name suggests - depicts the state of violent ecstasy in which a significant portion of Brazilian society has submerged. Designed by the great artist Márcio Aranha, who has previously worked with names like Blasthrash, Flageladör, and Cerberus Attack, the cover materializes a critique of the feelings of hatred and lethargy that have led to a rise in neo-fascism that has even come to dominate the State. "Misogyny, racism, senseless violence, advocacy for the use of firearms, sensationalism, ignorance about class consciousness, religious intolerance, false morality, false patriotism. All these elements fueled an explosion that shook the foundations of the country and a fire that still seems far from being extinguished," he explained.

Mixing and mastering were handled by Hugo Silva, who has previously worked with names such as Krisiun, Sepultura, and Nervosa.
